Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our fresh markets on Tuesdays at Ellis Elementary School at 165 S. Dahlia St in Denver. These markets enable families to pick up fresh, nutritious groceries at the same time that they pick up their children. We typically serve about 55-60 families at each fast-paced event. 

In this role, you will:

• Assist in the set up of our market with about 6-8 other volunteers by arranging meat, produce boxes, eggs, and milk in a “market-style” arrangement on tables for families to select from
   
• Support families shopping for food, providing an extra pair of hands where needed and providing guidance on quantity of foods available
   
• ALWAYS provide a warm smile and treat others with kindness; overall contribute to a positive and SAFE environment for families and your fellow volunteers
   
• Clean up after the event by breaking down cardboard boxes and disposing of trash
   
• Please note that while some of this work can be physically challenging, not all of it is. We can still use warm, friendly people to smile, greet, and help to give small food items to families without much physical effort
   
• The majority of the families that we support speak Spanish, therefore knowing Spanish is a bonus but is not a requirement. If you do not speak Spanish, a warm smile goes a long way in creating a warm and friendly experience.
